Aims and Objectives

JIIKAZE WOMENS TRUST

JIIKAZE womens trust was formed in 2007 in Vihiga District in Kenya, East Africa. JIIKAZE is a community based organization which engages in socio-economic activities to improve the living standards of its members and the community at large.

We are based in Shaviringa village in Tiriki East, Hamisi District of Western Kenya. Our membership is mainly drawn from women, youths and children within Vihiga District and also experts and volunteers in Nairobi, and also as far as Germany. Our members are mainly school leavers, reformed street boys, orphans, widows, jobless youth and women who have no means of income; and on a professional level, volunteers, consultants and social experts.

Our Groups main objective is to alleviate poverty, make social amenities available and accessible affordably; and combat socio economic issues and bring an end to violence and discord that threaten the development and existence of society in today’s third world African countries.

Our other objectives are:

·         Create employment opportunities through initiation of income generating activities.

·         Mentor and role model the youths.

·         Raise awareness and seek solutions on social, economical and environmental issues.

·         Identify and develop potential talents of youth.

·         Offer care and support to orphans, widows and vulnerable groups in society.
